Biography

Mandy is based in Fremantle, Western Australia. She has 15 years of experience in Arts Education / Management and holds postgraduate qualifications in both. Mandy also holds a BFA (Hons1), a GradCert (Distinction) in Design and Art and will complete a MRes (Fine Art) mid 2023 at Curtin University. Mandy resumed her arts practice in 2019, committing to this undertaking full-time mid-2021.

Artist Statement

Mandy is an early career installation artist who is interested in our relationship with time in the contemporary first world. Sand, water, fire and light are central to her practice; materials possessing broad, symbolic currency relative to time, plus capacity to mark its passing through movement and/or changes in state.
